Store in dry state below 30oC

1) Reconstituted solutions intended for IM injection should be used within 16 hours when stored at room temp. or 48 hours when refrigerated 2oC to 8oC                2) Reconstituted solutions intended for IV injection or solutions further diluted for IV infusion should be used within 24 hours when stored at room temperature or 48 hours when refrigerated 2oC to 8oC from the time of the initial reconstitution

    
1) IV bolus: 10ml of SW should be added to a vial administer over 3-5 min directly or through tubing of patients receiving parentral fluids.                                      2) IV Infusion : Reconstituted solutions in 10ml SWFI of ceftizoxime may be added to an IV container containing 50-100ml of a compatible IV solution                                    3) IM injections of ceftizoxime are prepared by adding 3ml of sterile water for injection to 1g of ceftizoxime.
IV / IM Injection: Sterile water for Injection IV Infusion : 0.9% sodium chloride, 5 or 10% dextrose, 5% dextrose and 0.2, 0.45, or 0.9% sodium chloride, Ringer's; lactated Ringer's Injection: 10% invert sugar or 5% sodium bicarbonate
